On the 16th and 17th of July some more wonderful people did some more wonderful things to raise money for our homeless hounds!
Margaret Hill held a Dolls House Exhibition at her home in Kirkgunzeon to raise funds for DCGR. Despite the excellent weather, attendance was steady and those who attended enjoyed looking at the 12 or so houses she has collected over the years including street scenes and a specially constructed Christmas scene.
The visitors spent a couple of hours in each “shift” seeing the houses followed by some tea, coffee and home baking as well as meeting the resident greyhounds.
After the contents of the charity bucket were counted, £100 will be winging its way into the DCGR account to further our efforts in finding homes for ex racing greyhounds. Margaret would like to thank those that attended for being so generous and to those that missed the opportunity just have a look at these wonderful pictures and hopefully we can whet your appetite to join us next year!
Here is inside the Greyhound Inn which is inside the Hilltop Hotel.
And here is Margaret with friend Dee, just one of her wonderful visitors on the day, who hopefully had as much fun as Margaret did sharing her collection with everyone.
Thank you to everyone who attended and especially the magnificent Margaret and Graham Hill for hosting the brilliant event.
