*** Unfortunately with weather reports advising caution, some of today’s plans have been changed, so please be aware the outdoor activities at the Summer Fair are suspended until the weather is safe for everyone to take part. But please do come along to the Fair as there is plenty to do and see inside the Hall.***

It’s summer time so it must be time for the annual Kirkgunzeon Summer Fair and DCGR are delighted as ever to attend.

On Saturday 19th August there will be a fantastic selection of over 40 stalls and lots of family friendly events held at The Maxwell Memorial Hall and field in Kirkgunzeon near Dumfries all starting from 10am.

Last year was an amazing success and we are extremely grateful to once again be one of 2 charities chosen to benefit from all the money raised on stall hire. It’s free to attend but there will be charity collection buckets at the gate if you can spare a couple of pounds to pop in as you pass through.

One of the highlights will be the Fun Dog Show with 10 different classes to enter. You can take part in as many classes as you wish, its only £2 per class and we hope you will all come along and support the greyhounds as they try their best too.

Plus there are plenty of other attractions including a Tombola, BBQ and licensed Bar, Tea, Coffee and Homebaking, Childrens’ Face Painting and Bouncy Castle and lots of doggy activities like “Have A Go” Agility, Dog expert stalls and amazing local producers and crafting stalls.

And of course lots of Greyhound excitement with Graham and Margaret Hill setting up a gazebo with a fantastic sales table, range of gifts, dog accessories and fun range of t-shirts. We’ll even bring our greyhounds looking for homes to try and win your heart.
