On Sunday 14th May the weather stayed fine and the Greyhound Meet & Open Day at the Damhead Kennels was brilliant!
We were delighted to see so many friends and supporters come out and join us and overjoyed to see as many new faces too.
4 previously homeless hounds found their forever homes with 2 others on the possibility list. And nearly £1,100 was raised on the day from sales and donations too. We had over 40 greyhounds in attendance, plus some non-greyhound friends and a very gorgeous Borzoi.
There were people who came from distant places such as Galston, Kelso and Port William to be with us. We haven’t seen so many smiling faces in one place since our Fun Greyhound Show last November.
A massive thanks to Viv and Matt at Damhead for hosting us and their continuing support. We really are lucky to have you, your gorgeous kennels and your greyhound passion involved in DCGR… Already looking forward to next year’s event.
