We were delighted to have been invited to take part in the Tesco Fun Day Out at the Peel Centre in Dumfries organised by Jade, the Community Champion. Saturday 13th August was a very warm day indeed but there was a steady flow of people through the site who stopped to chat.
Unfortunately due to the weather the usual stars of the show, the greyhounds, stayed at home keeping their paws cool but as you can see in the photo below they sent their representatives to meet and greet everyone.
Huge thanks to Viv and Matt from Damhead Kennels who always support us brilliantly and popped by with donated cards. Just over £39 raised for the homeless hounds and we loved taking part, raising the profile of DCGR and reminding people what Greyt pets a retired greyhound makes.
