What a Greyt day we had at the Kirkgunzeon Summer Gala on Saturday August 27th. The weather was brilliant and the public were very generous with donations and attendance.
We had a double table at this event with greyhound goodies on one table and quality donations on the other. There were 20+ stalls and by all accounts, we were one of the busiest but there was lots to do and see for everyone with a Dog Show, a BBQ, Tombola and Raffle and games for the children too. We were even able to show off the new T shirts that we have on sale to their best advantage.
And a couple of genuine enquiries to rehome greyhounds put the icing on the cake. There was almost £400 raised too in donations and sales which all goes to help us find fantastic forever homes for ex-racing greyhounds.
Our huge thanks to Emma from Kirkgunzeon Canines for organising this lovely event and to Matt from Damhead Kennels for helping out with the judging of 2 classes at the Dog Show and bringing down homeless hound Princess who was a star. Our own Rhys and Honey showed their cool and calm experience by finding a lovely shady spot to watch all the excitement. The dogs as ever were the champions of the day!
Thanks to everyone who stopped to chat and hope to see you at the next event soon!
