The highlight of our year is the chance for us to celebrate all things greyhound and to catch up with the dogs who have been adopted into their forever homes. It’s the Annual DCGR Fun Show and you are all invited to come along to the Lockerbie Town Hall on Sunday November 2nd 2025, from 11am -3pm.
There will be Dog Show classes, shopping stalls, prizes galore, appearances by our Homeless Hounds and a chance to spend the afternoon with a hall full of Greyhounds!
This year we have booked the whole Town Hall so the Dog Show events will be upstairs with stalls selling hound essentials and doggy accessories plus plenty of tables offering gifts, Christmas stock, amazing donated items at bargain prices and all our own DCGR merchandise.
Whilst downstairs will be home to the Craft Fair and Table Top stalls with gorgeous handmade items on offer from local producers and supporters. The Cafeteria is also downstairs for refreshments with home baking goodies and a quiet space to take a break and you’ll also find plenty of free parking nearby at McJerrow Public Park which is an excellent place to let your dogs stretch their legs, whilst the Town Hall offers facilities for the humans.
There are plenty of chances to show off your glorious greyhounds and have a bit of fun too with our Fun Show classes. You can enter as many times as you like and everyone is a winner with treats and prizes and the coveted Rosettes on offer.
The Homeless Hound Parade will show off our wonderful dogs looking for homes and the rehoming team will be on hand to answer any questions.
In addition there are chances for the humans to win in the Tombola and bid for the amazing prizes on offer at the fundraising Auction.
