DCGR is a charity staffed entirely by volunteers and funded entirely from the income generated at events, fundraisers and donations from our generous supporters and adopters.

So we are very grateful for any financial donations to the charity and all the income raised is used for the welfare of the dogs in our care. There are no paid staff at DGCR but we need to raise the funds for vet costs, kennels, food and charity administration. Our Charity Shop in Lockerbie is full of “new to you” bargains for sale and we are delighted to accept donations of quality pre-loved goods to sell. You can find out more about our Charity Shop by clicking on the link.

We are also very pleased to receive items for the dogs while they wait for their forever homes. Whether its dog food, toys or bedding, our greyhounds would be very “greytful” for anything you can spare. Donations can be brought to the shop during opening hours or use the “Contact Us” link below for other arrangements.

Or maybe you can make a donation of your time and foster a dog in your home. Most of our dogs have never known a life outside kennels when they arrive and fostering a dog is the first very important step on their journey to finding a forever home. We are staffed entirely by volunteers so if you could spare a few hours to help us and our greyhounds then we would love to hear from you. Every penny you spend whilst you shop means the online retailers will make a small donation to DCGR but it’s free for you to use.
