Our Wee Pop Up Shop Donation – 2nd September

For anyone living in the Annan area, the secret gems hidden down The Courtyard at the side of The Cafe Royal off the High Street are already well known. However, if you haven’t made the trip down the lane and into the courtyard then we urge you to go!

A group of local Crafters have set up “Our Wee Pop Up Shop” to sell their handmade items and promote local shopping and community projects. There are some amazing products available and a huge range of gifts and crafts to buy including the Our Wee Refill Station where you can take along your own container and fill up household cleaning and toiletries all without the extra packaging.

There are textiles, unique gifts, yummy treats and original artwork and because different Crafters pop in and out, the range of products is always exciting and new.

Heather and Rachel who run the shops and stalls have been long term supporters of DCGR and have a charity collection tin on the counter for any spare pennies.

But they also hold fundraisers and sell second hand books with all the proceeds going to help the greyhounds.

When Margaret Hill and Dora Sweetman went to visit after their last fundraiser on Saturday 2nd September, they were presented with an amazing £400 donated from sales and events! A huge donation and we are so grateful to them for all their hard work and generosity.

We really are so very lucky to have such wonderful supporters and their generous shoppers. All the money donated goes straight to helping find forever homes for the greyhounds, so from DCGR and from all the dogs, a huge thank you and we look forward to popping in again soon to see what’s available in their gorgeous shops.
