Our wonderful supporters in Annan hosted a Craft Market in the courtyard of “Our Wee Pop Up Shop”, on Saturday 2nd March, we were delighted to go along and it turned out to be a Greyt day indeed.
DCGR had a fantastic stall in the Courtyard of the lane behind Annan’s Cafe Royal where event organisers Rachel and Heather are located with their fantastic “Our Wee Pop Up Shop” showcasting and selling local crafts.
As our first fundraising event of the year, we hoped for fine weather and were not disappointed, allowing us to show off our amazing knitted items made and donated by supporters Yvonne from Dumfries, Helen from Carlisle and Barbara from Ecclefechan.
Our stall was also stocked with our popular greyhound themed gifts, doggie necessities and DCGR merchandise and the greyhounds in attendance were delighted to welcome the visitors with their usual brilliant behaviour.
DCGR would like to thank Heather and Rachel for their immense generosity and kindness, not only for the invitation to attend the Craft Market event, but for their continued enthusiastic support. Their Pop Up Shop stocks a regular range of our items to buy including crafting delights, doggy supplies and Greyt gift ideas and they have a charity tin for donations which is very much appreciated.
On the day, DCGR raised £380.00 from sales and donations, the greyhounds in attendance (Rhys, Honey, Lexi, Winnie, Leo and homeless hound Fagin) had a wonderful day out and a special mention to Tony and Stuart who travelled over the border with Leo to attend his first event. All the dogs (and their human helpers!) did a remarkable job.
Once again a huge thanks to Heather and Rachel from “Our Wee Pop Up Shop”, our volunteers on the stall, crafting supporters and generous customers for making today so successful. We look forward to seeing you all at the next event!
