This walk is along Allonby Beach, Cumbria, CA15 6QF, taking a circular route down the beach along the Solway Firth and back along the coastal path.
We start from the long public car park on Main Street (the B5300) opposite the Ship Hotel, meeting around the children’s Play Park.
The walk is a flat 2 mile route from there, heading south along the beach, then heading back north along the coastal path. Along the way, there is some tempting ice cream on offer from Twentymans Ice-cream Parlour and wonderful views along the beach out to the Irish Sea from the Solway Firth.
Suitable footwear for the beach and rough tracks required. Facilities include toilets, parking, ice-cream and local shops plus a children’s play park. We look forward to seeing you there!
