This walk is in Dumfries where we enjoy a circular walk around Dock Park, Dumfries, DG1 2RY, along the River Nith towards Kingholm Quay and return along the eastern path through the park. This has previously been a meeting point for the Great Global Greyhound Walk, the annual event organised globally to show off what wonderful pets greyhounds and other sighthounds make.
We start at the Dock Park car park at Dock Head, taking the main path along the River Nith on a gentle flat route. Reaching Kingholm Quay there is seating to enjoy the views of the river, before heading back to the park along the upper path including opportunities to make use of the cafe facilities and children’s play areas.
Appropriate clothing and footwear required if the weather is wet. Facilities include parking, toilets, cafe and children’s play area. We look forward to seeing you there!
