This walk is in Langholm, Dumfriesshire, DG13 0EP, taking a circular route around Castleholm parkland and along the River Esk.
We start from the Kilngreen car park, meeting at the bandstand end, then crossing Ewes Water at the bridge to join the Duchess Walk along Lodge Walk. This route crosses the Duchess Bridge over the River Esk and circles the ruins of Langholm Castle in Castleholm.
The walk is a 2.5 mile, flat walk on paths that may be muddy in places so appropriate footwear required for riverside paths and parkland.
Facilities include toilets, parking and nature information boards. The town of Langholm is less than half a mile away with cafes available. Hope to see you all there!
