This walk is around the Eskrigg Reserve off Quaas Loaning, DG11 1HY, just outside Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire.
We start at the Reserve’s carpark which can be accessed from Vallance Drive. Take the first right turn as you come off the main road and go down a narrow, slightly rutted track. From the carpark we follow mostly flat, well maintained forestry tracks through the nature reserve for around 2 miles. There are opportunities to observe wildlife and walk through woodlands.
Suitable footwear and clothing required for muddy forestry paths, depending on weather conditions.
Facilities include a toilet midway on the walk, a picnic area with tables, nature information boards, parking and Lockerbie is only 1 mile away with links to the M74. Look forward to seeing you all there!
