This walk is around Powfoot near Annan, Dumfriesshire, DG12 5QW from Powfoot Beach on a circular route to Cummertrees and back.
We start at the large car park on Powfoot Beach between the Powfoot Hotel and the caravan site, just after the public toilets.
From the car park we take the footpath over the golf course, heading to Cummertrees via the woods alongside Pow Water. At the main road we go left past the church and left again at Moss Road to take the quiet roads and track back to the caravan park.
The Sandpiper Cafe at the caravan park makes an excellent resting place for ice cream or drinks before heading back along the beach road to return to the car park.
The walk is largely flat and about 2.5 miles long. Facilities include parking, toilets and cafe refreshments. Appropriate footwear and clothing required for beach, woods and wet paths. Look forward to seeing you all there!
