Dalbeattie Civic Daze organise community events and celebrations in and around Dalbeattie and DCGR were delighted once again to join in the festivities at the Gala in Colliston Park on 12th August.
We are a tough lot at DCGR and the day started a little wet but Graham & Margaret Hall with helpers Julia, Robert and Richard set up the gazebo with all our wonderful items including dog accessories, DCGR merchandise and craft and gift items… and hoped for the sun to shine.
… and shine it did!
The weather certainly brightened up later in the day and the general public attended Colliston Park in their droves.
At the end of the day, 4 tired volunteers, Margaret, Robert, Julia and Richard wound their way home knowing over £130 was raised for DCGR and the word had been spread far and wide that greyhounds make fantastic pets. A huge thanks to everyone who visited the stall and to all our hard working volunteers.
